Todd Bridges, best known for his iconic role on the classic sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes," is officially closing the chapter on his latest romance. The actor headed to an Arizona court on Tuesday to file for divorce from his wife, Bettijo B. Hirschi, after three years of marriage.
The legal filing arrives just under three months after the couple initially announced their separation. According to the court documents, Bridges stated that the marriage is "irretrievably broken." In a sign that the split may remain relatively amicable, neither Bridges nor Hirschi is requesting spousal support.
The estranged couple's love story began in the modern dating scene. They matched on a dating app and embarked on a whirlwind romance, getting engaged just six months later. They ultimately tied the knot in September 2022 during a quiet, intimate ceremony in Beverly Hills surrounded by roughly 70 of their closest friends and family members. The pair did not welcome any children during their time together.
This marks the second trip down the aisle for the former child star, who was previously married to Dori Bridges from 1998 to 2012.
