The Department of Energy (DOE) has formally turned over a solar power system to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in a move aimed at reducing the agency's operational costs. The photovoltaic installation, located at TESDA's central office, is expected to generate significant savings on electricity expenses.
Energy officials highlighted that the project aligns with the government's push for renewable energy adoption and energy efficiency in public institutions. TESDA administrators welcomed the system, noting that the freed-up funds can be redirected to skills training programs.
"This initiative not only cuts costs but also supports our commitment to sustainable energy practices," a DOE representative stated. The solar panels are part of a broader program to equip government offices with alternative power sources.
