Doja Cat's Viral Twitch Moment: Singer Draws Line at Roblox, Citing Age and Safety Concerns

Doja Cat sparked widespread online discussion over the weekend after a clip from her Twitch stream went viral, in which the Grammy-winning artist firmly declined to play the popular game Roblox.

During a live broadcast where she was playing Fortnite, fans in the chat repeatedly requested she switch to Roblox. The 30-year-old singer responded with a mix of humor and bluntness.

“People are telling me to play Roblox. Get out. I’m a 30-year-old woman,” she stated. “I understand the whole Dress To Impress thing, I’ve seen it, people love it so much and I get that. You want to know who really loves Roblox? Little kids.”

She emphasized the age disconnect, noting her stream was marked for viewers 18 and older. “I don’t do that, I’m a grown ass woman,” she added.

The comments took a more serious turn when Doja Cat referenced broader safety concerns associated with the platform.

“You know who else loves Roblox? Paedophiles,” she said, before making her stance unequivocal: “I just want to make it clear that I won’t be playing Roblox any time soon – and I think we could go as far as using the word ‘ever’.”

The clip quickly amassed nearly a million views on X (formerly Twitter) and gained significant traction on Instagram, resonating with discussions about online safety and age-appropriate content.

Her remarks come in the wake of recent news highlighting dangers on gaming platforms. Last week, a British man was sentenced to 28 months in prison after pleading guilty to sexual communication with a 14-year-old girl he met on Roblox, among other related charges.

Doja Cat’s refusal, blending personal boundary-setting with a pointed commentary on platform demographics, has turned a simple gaming moment into a viral talking point about digital spaces and responsibility.
