Former NBA star Dwight Howard has accused his estranged wife, Amber Howard (also known as Amy Luciani), of tricking him into marriage by lying about her ability to have children. According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Howard claims his wife engaged in a "crusade of lies and defamation" that damaged his career and personal relationships.
In court filings seeking a protective order, Howard detailed a years-long rocky relationship that ultimately led to his divorce filing. He alleges Amber made false statements to law enforcement, friends, family, and the mothers of his children. Central to his claim is the assertion that Amber knew she was infertile but denied it and actively lied to secure their marriage.
Howard also denied his ex-wife's allegations of cocaine use, stating he has never used the drug and that the accusation cost him job opportunities. A few days after filing, the pair agreed to stay at least 100 yards apart and refrain from harassing each other online. Howard was granted sole use of their Georgia mansion but must pay Amber $10,000 to assist with her relocation.
