Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin Use Humor to Heal After Terrifying Home Invasion

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin have opened up about the frightening home invasion they experienced last week, revealing how they're using humor to cope with the trauma.

In an exclusive interview with E! News at the New York City premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2, the couple shared details about the April 17 incident at their Hollywood Hills home, where Dylan reportedly confronted an intruder by holding him at gunpoint until police arrived.

"It's dealing with the trauma with jokes and fun," supermodel Barbara Palvin told interviewer Erin Lim Rhodes. Dylan Sprouse, known for his role on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, added that he's "not a 'too soon' guy" when it comes to finding levity in difficult situations.

"We're laughing about things the moment they happen," Sprouse explained. "You've got to have levity in life. Thankfully, no one was hurt and there was no more violence than what happened. So, it's all OK."

The couple demonstrated their lighthearted approach on the red carpet, where they playfully called each other out for having food in their teeth. Sprouse even joked about his own vanity when he became distracted by a nearby mirror, quipping: "I love looking at myself so much, I had a twin split off of me for it."

According to law enforcement sources, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to the couple's home in the early morning hours of April 17 after reports of an attempted burglary. While waiting for police to arrive, Sprouse confronted the trespasser, holding him at gunpoint and tackling him to the ground. The suspect was arrested at the scene.

Sprouse revealed he initially considered addressing the incident with a video showcasing what he called his "performative karate" moves, but his wife advised against it. "Barbara told me it's cringe," he said with a laugh, "and I shouldn't do it."

The 33-year-old actor and his 32-year-old model wife have been together since 2018 and married in 2023. Their ability to find humor in the aftermath of a traumatic event demonstrates their resilience as a couple facing unexpected challenges in the public eye.
