Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi enjoyed a rare public date night on April 28, attending the U.K. premiere of Billie Eilish's new concert film, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), in London.
The former talk show host shared her excitement on Instagram, posting a photo of herself, Portia, and Billie from the event. "Portia and I just left the premiere for @billieeilish's new 3D movie that she directed with @jamescameronofficial," she wrote. "The behind-the-scenes footage is amazing. If you weren’t able to see Billie in concert, this is the next best thing and then some."
The outing was a rare public appearance for the couple, who have been living a more private life since moving from Montecito, California, to the English countryside. At a July 2025 event, Ellen reflected on their new life, telling broadcaster Richard Bacon, "We're just not used to seeing this kind of beauty. The villages and the towns and the architecture—everything you see is charming and it's just a simpler way of life."
Ellen, 68, and Portia, 53, have been married for 17 years. The couple's move to the U.K. included bringing their animals along. "Portia flew her horses here, and I have chickens, and we had sheep for about two weeks," Ellen added.
