The new generation of 'Encantadia' cast members—Bianca Umali, Kelvin Miranda, Faith Da Silva, and Angel Guardian—have opened up about the challenges of facing criticism from loyal fans of the original fantasy series.
In a recent interview, the actors shared their honest reactions to negative comments and how they cope with the pressure of stepping into iconic roles.
Bianca Umali, who plays the role of Pirena, admitted that while the criticism stings, she uses it as motivation to improve her craft. "I understand that the original has a special place in their hearts. I just try to give my best and respect the character," she said.
Kelvin Miranda, portraying Ybarro/Paolo, acknowledged the tough comparison but emphasized that he and his co-stars are doing their own interpretation. "We're not trying to replace anyone. We're just adding our own flavor," he explained.
Faith Da Silva, who takes on the role of Amihan, shared that she initially felt insecure but learned to block out negativity. "I focus on the people who support me and the love from my family," she said.
