England's Esme Hamilton held her nerve to secure her first European Tour title at the South African Women's Open, finishing two strokes clear of compatriot Cara Gainer.
Hamilton entered the final round tied for the lead with Slovenia's Pia Babnik. Despite a shaky front nine that included a bogey on the third and a double bogey on the ninth, the 26-year-old steadied herself on the back nine to card a two-under-par 71, finishing at 15 under par overall.
This marks Hamilton's first win on the European Tour in her 22nd start. Prior to this week in Cape Town, she had managed just two top-10 finishes.
Gainer, 30, began the final round in third place, one shot off the lead, but a one-under 72 left her one stroke short of forcing a playoff. Babnik finished third at 12 under.
In other golf news, Austria's Bernd Wiesberger ended a five-year drought on the DP World Tour by winning the China Open in Shanghai, finishing at 19 under par, three shots ahead of Spain's Adrian Otaegui.
