Eric Dickerson Advises Aaron Donald to Stay Retired: 'Nothing Left to Prove'

Rams fans may dream of a defensive line featuring both Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald, but Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson is urging the six-time All-Pro to remain retired.

In an exclusive interview at LAX, Dickerson told TMZ Sports that while he would love to see the 35-year-old Donald return to the field, the legendary defensive tackle has already accomplished everything a player could want.

"He's won a Super Bowl, three Defensive Player of the Year awards, and eight First-Team All-Pro selections. What else does he need to prove?" Dickerson said. "It's time to relax on the couch."

Dickerson's comments come amid speculation that Donald could unretire following the Rams' recent trade for Myles Garrett. However, the Hall of Famer believes Donald's legacy is secure and that a comeback would only risk tarnishing an impeccable career.

Donald, who retired in March 2024 after 10 seasons, has not publicly addressed the rumors. However, he reportedly texted Pat McAfee to set the record straight, though the details of that message remain private.
