Evanescence Returns with 'Sanctuary': A Haunting New Album and Single 'Who Will You Follow'

Rock powerhouse Evanescence has officially announced their highly anticipated sixth studio album, 'Sanctuary,' set for release on June 5. The band, led by the iconic Amy Lee, also unveiled the dramatic lead single 'Who Will You Follow,' marking their first new music in five years.

'Who Will You Follow' showcases the band's signature blend of soaring vocals and intense instrumentation, with Lee's emotive delivery exploring themes of identity and disillusionment. The track was co-written and produced by former Bring Me The Horizon member Jordan Fish and producer Zakk Cervini, both of whom contributed to multiple songs on the upcoming album. Producer Nick Raskulinecz also lent his expertise to the project.

In a statement, Lee expressed profound pride in the album, describing it as a three-year labor of love. "This album is over three years in the making, and finally listening back to it all at once, about to release it to the world, I am so damn proud of every second of it," she said. "It's overwhelming. Working on it has been my outlet for so much that feels wrong and out of control, and a place to ignite hope through the power of music and connection."

Fans can pre-order 'Sanctuary' in various formats, including digital, CD, and a limited-edition box set. A vinyl version is scheduled for release on September 4. The album serves as the follow-up to 2021's 'The Bitter Truth' and is expected to feature the band's trademark cinematic soundscapes and lyrical depth.

With a tour already lined up, Evanescence is poised to bring their new music to stages worldwide, continuing their legacy as one of rock's most enduring and influential acts.
