Exploring Open Educational Practices for Social Justice and Pedagogical Innovation

In a recent presentation, Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani, a University Teaching Fellow in Open Studies and faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, discussed how open educational practices can advance social justice and pedagogical innovation. Jhangiani, who also serves as a Senior Open Education Research & Advocacy Fellow with BCcampus, emphasized the role of open textbooks and resources in promoting equity and student success. The talk, part of the UROpenEd Program, highlighted the transformative potential of open education in higher education.
