Fatal Train Crash in Indonesia Kills 15 Women in Reserved Carriage

At least 15 people have died after a train collision in Bekasi, near the Indonesian capital of Jakarta. The incident occurred on Monday evening when a stationary passenger train was rear-ended by a long-distance commuter train on the same track.

The rear carriage, reserved for female passengers, bore the brunt of the impact. Local officials confirmed that all the victims were women, many of whom were trapped under the crushed metal. In total, 88 passengers were injured.
