Hip-hop artist Pooh Shiesty is facing severe federal charges after the Department of Justice announced his arrest for the alleged armed kidnapping and robbery of his former record label boss, Gucci Mane.

According to the DOJ's complaint, the harrowing incident unfolded on January 10 inside a Dallas recording studio. Shiesty, alongside his associate Big30, reportedly lured three music industry professionals—including the 1017 Records founder—under the guise of negotiating a contract. Once inside, the situation quickly escalated as the suspects allegedly held the victims at gunpoint, robbing and kidnapping them.

Federal authorities executed a coordinated sweep on Wednesday, apprehending Shiesty and seven others out of nine total suspects. The multi-state arrests spanned across three major cities: Memphis, Nashville, and Dallas.

The shocking allegations add a dark chapter to the fractured relationship between the two rappers. Shiesty previously rose to prominence as a flagship artist under Gucci Mane's 1017 label, but what was once a lucrative mentorship has now allegedly devolved into a violent federal case.
