FIFA has pledged to increase prize money and fees for every team participating in the 2026 World Cup, aiming to help cover the costs of participation. The global football governing body confirmed that the tournament's funding will be raised to support all 48 competing nations.
"We are committed to ensuring that all teams receive fair compensation for their efforts," a FIFA spokesperson stated.
The announcement comes as preparations for the expanded World Cup, set to be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, continue to intensify.
