Fire Erupts at Plant Nursery in Rome's Mandrione District

A thick plume of black smoke rising from the Mandrione area of Rome sparked alarm among passersby and residents on Monday. According to initial reports, a fire broke out at a plant nursery located on Via del Fossato di Vico. Six firefighting teams are currently on the scene battling the blaze. The dark smoke was caused by the burning of materials covering the greenhouses. The fire was first spotted by a Carabinieri helicopter flying overhead. Preliminary checks by officers from the Tuscolana station and the Piazza Dante company have confirmed no injuries. Investigations into the cause of the fire are underway, and the area has been secured.
