Firefighter Scoble to Make Final Wales Appearance

Wales prop Jenni Scoble, who also serves as a firefighter, will retire from international rugby after Saturday's match against the Barbarians at Allianz Stadium. The 33-year-old will play her last game for Wales before stepping back to focus on her fire service career.

Scoble, who debuted for Wales in 2024 against Australia in WXV2 and was part of the World Cup squad last year, said it was a tough decision to step away from international rugby. "Playing for Wales has meant everything to me, but balancing rugby with my fire service career has become increasingly difficult," she said.

Head coach Sean Lynn praised Scoble's dedication: "Jenni has been an inspiration, especially for her ability to give 100% in training after a night shift."

Wales face the Barbarians in London as preparation for the WXV Global Series, with further tests against South Africa, USA, and Japan later this year.
