Foo Fighters and Aimee Lou Wood Set to Headline SNL UK's Return After Hiatus

The British adaptation of the iconic comedy series Saturday Night Live is gearing up for its comeback, with a star-studded lineup announced for its next two episodes. After a brief pause, SNL UK will return to screens on April 25, featuring Bridgerton actress Nicola Coughlan as host and rock legends Foo Fighters as the musical guest.

Foo Fighters, led by Dave Grohl, will mark a significant milestone as the first international music act to perform on the show. The band, which has made nine appearances on the American version since 1995, will be promoting their upcoming album Your Favourite Toy, set for release on April 24.

The following week, on May 2, The White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood will take the hosting reins, with viral sensation MEEK providing the musical entertainment. Wood's inclusion is particularly noteworthy due to a recent spoof sketch on the American SNL, where comedian Sarah Sherman portrayed her White Lotus character with exaggerated false teeth, sparking some controversy.

Nicola Coughlan's return to the SNL UK stage marks her second appearance, having previously made a cameo in the show's debut episode hosted by Tina Fey. Meanwhile, MEEK's performance follows the success of her viral single Fabulous, adding to the anticipation for the show's revival.

The British spin-off of the American comedy institution will return on April 25, with Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan hosting, with music from Foo Fighters.

Fans of the series can look forward to a blend of comedy and music as SNL UK resumes its schedule, promising fresh sketches and memorable performances from both established and rising stars.
