Former Executive Sues MrBeast's Company, Alleges Sexual Harassment and Retaliation

Lorrayne Mavromatis, a former executive at Beast Industries—the media company founded by YouTube star MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson)—has filed a lawsuit accusing the company of sexual harassment, gender discrimination, and wrongful termination.

According to court documents, Mavromatis claims that the company fostered a hostile work environment where harassment of women was "condoned" and complaints were dismissed. She alleges that after raising concerns, she was demoted to a role widely known within the company as the division where "careers go to die," and was ultimately fired less than three weeks after returning from pregnancy leave.

Beast Industries has vehemently denied the allegations, calling them a "clout-chasing complaint" and vowing to provide evidence to "unequivocally refute" the claims. A spokesperson stated that the company has messages, documents, and witness testimony disproving the accusations, and portrayed the lawsuit as an attempt by opportunistic lawyers to secure a financial settlement.

Mavromatis, who joined the company as head of Instagram before being promoted, is seeking lost wages, benefits, reinstatement, and damages for emotional distress.

This is not the first legal challenge for Donaldson, who has over 470 million subscribers. He was previously named in a lawsuit alleging that contestants on his reality show Beast Games were exploited—claims he denied as "blown out of proportion." In 2024, an investigation into a former co-host accused of grooming a teenager concluded that the allegations were "without basis."
