Former 'Hunger Games' Star Ethan Jamieson Faces Attempted Murder Charges After Raleigh Shooting

Ethan Jamieson, the actor who portrayed the District 4 male tribute in the 2012 blockbuster The Hunger Games, has been arrested on serious felony charges following a shooting incident in North Carolina.

According to arrest records, Jamieson was taken into custody on March 23 after Raleigh police responded to reports of gunfire on the evening of March 22. Lieutenant David Davis of the Raleigh Police Department stated that officers arrived to find a victim who reported that an unknown suspect on an e-bike had fired a shot at their moving vehicle, which contained two additional passengers at the time.

Detectives later identified Jamieson as the individual who discharged a single gunshot toward the victims' vehicle.

The 27-year-old actor now faces three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, as documented by the Wake County Sheriff's Office. His court appearance is scheduled for April 30.

This isn't Jamieson's first encounter with law enforcement—he was previously arrested in March 2025 for resisting a public officer.

Jamieson's acting career began with a 2009 episode of One Tree Hill, followed by roles in the 2010 television movie The Rusty Bucket Kids: Lincoln, Journey to 16 and his most notable appearance in The Hunger Games. His last credited acting role was in a 2013 episode of Justified.

Interestingly, Jamieson had expressed ambivalence about his Hollywood career shortly after his Hunger Games debut. In a 2012 interview, he remarked, "I want to be just a normal person," and expressed surprise at the film's massive popularity despite his character's early demise.

E! News has reached out to Jamieson's representative for comment but has not received a response.
