When LeAnn Rimes married Eddie Cibrian in 2011, even her biggest fans wondered what kind of life that would be. After all, they met while still married to other people, sparking a public scandal. But over time, the couple has transformed their relationship into a calm and enduring partnership.
Rimes, now 43, reflected on their rocky start in an interview last year, acknowledging the anger directed at her but ultimately understanding it. 'I've been on both sides of that coin—I've been cheated on, too,' she said. 'So many women don't know what to do with that anger... I was a target that was just easily projected upon.'
After weathering the initial storm—including custody battles, media scrutiny, and barbs from Cibrian's ex-wife, Brandi Glanville—the couple found their rhythm. 'We've been through so much together,' Rimes told E! News in February. 'Now our boys, my stepsons Mason and Jake, are 22 and 18. We have a very calm life, which is wonderful.'
The couple celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary on April 22. Along the way, they've navigated a reality show, Rimes' perimenopause symptoms, and even a rapprochement with Glanville. 'I think we both grew up a lot,' Glanville said in 2021. 'The kids love when we're all together.'
