In 2006, outside a supermarket in Bahrain, two tiny felines ambushed my shopping bags. Benny and his brother Buster, just three months old, were determined to reach the food they could smell inside. Immediately smitten, I welcomed them into my life, beginning an extraordinary 16-year journey.
Benny stood out from the start with his quirky personality and affectionate nature. While I adored both cats, it was Benny who truly captured my heart with his endearing behaviors and loving disposition.
Our adventure together spanned continents as my advertising career took us from Bahrain to Kenya, then to Qatar, back to Bahrain, and finally to Manchester. I often joked that these two cats had visited more countries than most people. As a creative director following work opportunities around the world, I led an interesting but sometimes lonely existence—until Benny and Buster transformed everything with their companionship.
