In a challenging job market, Generation Z is getting creative, turning to unconventional platforms like Instagram and even dating apps to find employment.
Sibusisiwe Khupe, 26, found herself job hunting again in September after unexpected layoffs at London marketing agency Wieden+Kennedy. She knew it wouldn't be easy. Young workers have been disproportionately affected by the weakening UK job market, where vacancies are falling and unemployment has reached a five-year high.
"Instagram truly is the new LinkedIn," Khupe says, describing how she uses the platform to network and showcase her work. Others are taking it further, using dating apps to make professional connections in a tight labor market.
