The GenAISiS T.R.A.I.N project, led by Robert Gordon University in collaboration with Aberdeen Science Centre, has released a testimonial video as part of the 'Maddie is Online' Series 5. The project, which ran from January to March 2026, aims to demonstrate routes to impact for delivering educational resources on generative AI skills, privacy awareness, and digital literacy to schools across the UK.

Building on the success of the earlier Generative Artificial Intelligence Skills in Schools initiative, which engaged pupils in creating animated cartoon stories and an open educational toolkit, the T.R.A.I.N project focuses on a train-the-trainer model. This model leverages synergy with Aberdeen Science Centre's public engagement programme to ensure sustainable delivery of materials through schools, science centres, and public libraries.

The project team includes Konstantina Martzoukou (Project Lead), Pascal Chinedu Ezenkwu, Palika Vithana, and Lynda Mcconnach. The research was supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (grant number EP/Y009800/1) through funding from Responsible Ai UK. The project also utilizes animated tools developed by Plotagon, with permission and respect for intellectual property.

The testimonial video, available on YouTube, showcases the project's impact and collaboration with Aberdeen Science Centre. The project's open access model aims to equip trainers with resources to teach ethical AI use, critical thinking, and responsible communication.
