General Hospital Star Kirsten Storms’ Ex Granted Restraining Order Over Mental Health Concerns

Brandon Barash, the ex-husband of General Hospital actress Kirsten Storms, has been granted an emergency restraining order against her, citing concerns over her mental health and housing stability.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Barash—who shares a 12-year-old daughter with Storms—alleged that the 42-year-old actress has been experiencing a “mental health crisis.” The Days of Our Lives actor claimed Storms’ “instability with housing has been a recurring theme,” noting that her landlord in Tennessee sued her for eviction after the pair moved there following their 2016 divorce.

Barash further alleged that Storms did not maintain a permanent residence between September 2024 and June 2025, instead staying with friends or at hotels. He claimed she frequently changed hotels because she believed people were “following her and the child to her room.” The actor expressed “great concern of [Storms’] ability to adequately care” for their daughter.

As a result of the order, Storms has been granted only supervised visitation with their daughter, according to TMZ.

In a separate filing obtained by People, Barash said Storms contacted him in May 2025, allegedly stating she was “experiencing delusions and hallucinations” and “didn’t think she should have the child for her parenting time.” In November 2025, she reportedly called him claiming people were breaking into her apartment and moving her belongings into her car.

Barash also revealed that his wife, Isabella Devoto, helped Storms get admitted to a hospital for mental health issues, where she was allegedly placed on a psychiatric hold. A friend of Storms reportedly told Barash she was having “repeated episodes of melting down, being triggered, hearing things/voices that weren’t there,” and believed Storms may be abusing Adderall or other substances.

In addition to the restraining order, Barash requested a mental health evaluation for Storms, to whom he was married for three years.

Storms, who was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm earlier this year, had previously opened up about moving out of Los Angeles for her physical and mental health. In an Instagram post from October, she cited her daughter as the “biggest reason” for the move, but also said she was relocating “for my physical and mental health. And my overall happiness.” She expressed gratitude for her support system, writing, “There are a few really bad apples out there... but there are people in my life who I am truly thankful to know.”

E! News has reached out to representatives for both Storms and Barash but has not yet received a response.
