Supermodel Gigi Hadid has publicly responded for the first time after her name appeared in the recently unsealed Jeffrey Epstein documents, vehemently denying any connection to the convicted sex offender.
In a now-deleted online comment, Hadid described feeling "sick to my stomach" upon learning of the mention. She emphasized she has never met Epstein, had any association with him, or even been aware of his existence prior to the release of the files.
The reference to Hadid stems from a 2015 email exchange in which Epstein and another individual speculated about how Gigi and her sister, Bella Hadid, achieved their modeling success. Hadid called it "horrible" to be discussed in such a context by someone she has never encountered.
"I initially chose not to comment because I didn't want to distract from the voices of the victims," Hadid explained. "But I felt I needed to clarify once people started asking questions."
She suggested that Epstein may have invoked the names of famous individuals to create an illusion of influence and power, potentially as a tactic to manipulate others. Hadid, who was approximately 20 years old at the time of the emails, condemned Epstein as a "disgusting human being."
Her statement serves as a forceful rebuttal to any implied association, making clear that her name's appearance in the documents should not be construed as evidence of a personal or professional relationship with Epstein.
