Globe Telecom has announced a major initiative to enhance its network capabilities in preparation for the Philippines' hosting of the ASEAN Summit in 2026. The company is investing in advanced infrastructure to ensure seamless connectivity for delegates, media, and attendees across key venues and surrounding areas.
"We are committed to providing world-class telecommunications services that will support the critical communications needs of the summit," said Globe's Chief Technical Advisor. The upgrades include expanding 5G coverage, increasing fiber optic capacity, and deploying portable network assets at strategic locations.
Globe is collaborating with government agencies and international bodies to align its rollout with the summit's requirements. The enhanced network is expected to handle high data traffic and provide reliable service for both voice and data applications.
