Gypsy Rose Blanchard Predicts Mackenzie Shirilla Will Face Crushing Remorse Behind Bars

Gypsy Rose Blanchard has a stark warning for Mackenzie Shirilla: remorse is coming, and it will hit like a freight train.

In a recent interview on "The TMZ Podcast" with Charlie Neff, Blanchard shared her thoughts on Shirilla, who was convicted of murdering her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, and a friend, Davion Flanagan, in a fatal car crash. Blanchard, who served over eight years for her role in the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, said she believes Shirilla is not yet remorseful.

"Based on what I've seen in the Netflix documentary 'The Crash,' I don't think she feels remorse at all," Blanchard said. "But it's going to take a lot of reflection, hard work, and growing up. When it hits her, it will hit hard."

Blanchard emphasized that genuine remorse is crucial for Shirilla's potential parole. Shirilla, who maintains her innocence, will be eligible for a parole hearing in Ohio in 2037. Blanchard noted that the victims' families will likely be a significant obstacle.

Blanchard also addressed the issue of Shirilla potentially profiting from her infamy. Dominic Russo's sister, Christina Russo, is pushing for laws that prevent convicted criminals from profiting from their crimes. Blanchard said the issue is not straightforward.

Blanchard was released on parole in December 2023 and has since completed her parole supervision. Her insights come from firsthand experience with the criminal justice system and the long road to rehabilitation.
