Gypsy Rose Blanchard has weighed in on Mackenzie Shirilla's reported prison romance, saying that kissing women behind bars is a common way to pass the time.
In a recent interview on The TMZ Podcast, Blanchard explained that while hookups in prison are standard, they serve a limited purpose. "It's good for one thing only: passing time," she said.
Blanchard, who served time for her role in her mother's murder, advised that Shirilla would benefit more from a mentorship with an older inmate than from casual relationships. "It would do a lot of good if an older inmate took Mackenzie under her wing," Blanchard noted.
Drawing from her own experience, Blanchard admitted she kissed several women during her incarceration but insisted things never went past first base.
Shirilla is serving at least 15 years for killing her boyfriend and their friend in a car crash. Blanchard said she would not seek a connection with Shirilla if she gets paroled.
