Actress Hailee Steinfeld and NFL quarterback Josh Allen are navigating the early days of parenthood with joy and preparation, describing this new chapter as a "season of life" they're fully embracing.
Steinfeld recently shared insights into their transition, noting the careful planning that went into creating welcoming spaces for their newborn daughter. "I have been going back and forth on so many details—more than I care to admit," she told Architectural Digest about preparing their California and Buffalo homes. The goal was to design rooms that felt "bright and airy and comfortable"—spaces where "you could spend hours in and not get tired of."
"To say we are unbelievably happy and in love with this baby girl would be an understatement," Steinfeld wrote in her Beau Society newsletter. "I'm soaking in the newborn bliss."
The couple's family has enthusiastically joined their support team. Steinfeld's mother Cheri announced the arrival with "Cha Cha officially clocked in!!!" on social media, while her father Peter and brother Griffin expressed their excitement about becoming grandparents and an uncle.
Allen, who plays for the Buffalo Bills, acknowledged the upcoming challenge of balancing football with fatherhood. "I've known this from well in advance," he said during a press conference. "I don't know if you can plan too far in advance. We're going to have to figure out things on the go just like anything else."
The quarterback also expressed appreciation for the support from his teammates, calling it "really cool" and noting that "it's a special moment in me and my wife's life."
The couple had hinted at their baby's name back in December, sharing a photo of a knit sweater embroidered with "Baby Beau"—a nod to Steinfeld's childhood nickname. "Before I was born, my parents couldn't decide whether to name me Hailee or Bailee," she explained. "They started calling me 'Hailee Beau Bailee,' which we shortened to Beau."
Steinfeld and Allen, who married last May in Santa Barbara, were celebrated with a nursery rhyme-themed baby shower organized by Steinfeld's mother, complete with practical gifts for their new arrival. As they settle into parenting, Steinfeld finds joy in simple rituals, including watching her husband brew his morning coffee—though she admits she's currently getting her energy from a more natural source these days.
