Actress Haylie Duff and entrepreneur Matthew Rosenberg have ended their relationship after more than a decade together, a representative confirmed to multiple outlets. The couple, who got engaged in 2014 and share two daughters, reportedly split at the beginning of this year.
"Haylie and Matt ended their relationship around the first of the year," the representative stated. "She asks for privacy at this time in protection of her young daughters."
The pair first announced their engagement in April 2014 after two years of dating. At the time, Duff expressed her excitement on her website, writing: "This week has seriously just become the best week of my life!" She described the proposal as "genuine and sweet" and said she "couldn't wait to say yes."
Despite their long engagement, wedding plans were postponed when Duff became pregnant with their first daughter. In a 2021 interview, the actress acknowledged that their daughter Ryan had begun asking questions about marriage after starting school.
"We feel married in a lot of ways," Duff explained at the time. "I mean, we couldn't be more married if we tried."
The couple had recently discussed potentially holding their wedding in Texas after moving there in 2021. "I think both of us envisioned doing it in Texas," Duff added, "and so now that we're here, the conversations are happening a little more often than they were before."
Duff, known for her role in "Material Girls," and Rosenberg share daughters Ryan, 10, and Lulu, 7. The representative emphasized that privacy is being requested to protect the children during this transition.
