Patrick Muldoon, known for his role on ‘Melrose Place,’ died from a heart attack complicated by multiple underlying medical conditions, according to newly released records.
The actor’s death certificate, obtained by Us Weekly, lists the official cause of death as a heart attack. However, it also reveals he suffered from a hereditary coagulopathy disorder—a genetic condition that impairs the blood’s ability to clot—and a pulmonary embolism, a dangerous clot that can block blood flow to the lungs.
Muldoon was found unconscious in the shower by his girlfriend, Miriam Rothbart, on April 19 and was pronounced dead at the scene. His final Instagram posts showed no signs of distress, depicting him living his life normally just days before his passing.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed he was cremated on April 28.
Denise Richards, Muldoon’s ex-wife, paid tribute, calling him her “best friend & family.” Tori Spelling remembered him as a “beautiful soul” with a quirky sense of humor. He was 57.
