In a surprising twist to an ongoing Hollywood legal battle, actor Justin Baldoni's legal team has accused Blake Lively of including Taylor Swift's cookie recipe among court documents filed in their dispute.
According to court filings submitted Friday, Baldoni's representatives from Wayfarer Studios claim Lively submitted numerous last-minute exhibits with questionable relevance to their case. Among the 68 exhibits filed, Baldoni's lawyers specifically highlighted a link to an article about Taylor Swift's cookie recipe that was included in correspondence.
"The inclusion of materials like a link to a Taylor Swift cookie recipe is exceptionally unlikely to be shown to jurors at trial," Baldoni's legal team argued in their filing.
The filing reveals that Lively also submitted photographs of herself with Taylor Swift and a speech she made about her husband Ryan Reynolds' commitment as a family man. Baldoni's attorneys contend these materials similarly appear unlikely to be relevant to the legal proceedings.
Baldoni's legal team has requested approximately one week to review the extensive list of exhibits filed early Friday morning to prepare appropriate objections. Additionally, they're asking the court to require Lively to narrow down her witness and exhibit lists to materials that are "reasonably suitable for trial."
The legal dispute between the former "It Ends With Us" co-stars has escalated in recent months, with both parties filing lawsuits against each other. This latest development adds an unusual culinary element to what has become a bitter Hollywood legal war.
