Hulu Expands Mormon Wives Universe with Orange County Spinoff

The reality TV franchise "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" is getting a West Coast expansion. Hulu announced at its Get Real House Live event on April 22 that a spinoff series, "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County," is in development.

The new show will follow a fresh group of MomTok influencers in Southern California, including McCall DaPron—sister of original series star Mayci Neeley. The cast also features Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Salomé Andrea, Chandler Higginson, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Bontempo.

Notably absent from the spinoff are original cast members Taylor Frankie Paul, Jen Affleck, Whitney Leavitt, Jessi Draper, and Mikayla Matthews, who remain with the flagship series. Season five of the original show is set to resume filming after Taylor's domestic violence case was resolved.

Meanwhile, some original cast members have already ventured into other reality projects. Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt competed on the latest season of "Dancing With the Stars," and Taylor was originally slated to lead season 22 of "The Bachelorette" before ABC canceled her season following the release of a video showing a physical altercation with her ex-partner.

Jen Affleck recently reflected on her reality TV journey in an Instagram post, expressing a desire to show more authentic moments beyond drama. “I understand drama is what people expect from reality TV, but I wish more of the other real moments were shown too—the empowerment, the birth stories, the beauty of motherhood,” she wrote.

As the Mormon Wives universe grows, fans can expect both the original series and the new Orange County spinoff to offer deeper dives into the lives of these modern Mormon mothers navigating faith, family, and fame.
