According to court documents, Thee Bella Brand sued Ice Spice in 2025, asserting she agreed to purchase 25 custom wigs for approximately $20,000 but never completed payment. The company also sought over $400,000 in additional damages, citing lost business opportunities and punitive claims related to social media posts.
In her response, Ice Spice dismissed the company's allegations as "overly dramatic," arguing that Thee Bella Brand failed to provide evidence supporting claims of business interference. She contends the dispute is, at most, a straightforward breach of contract case over the unpaid wigs.
"At most, this is a simple breach of contract case over the wigs," the filing states, emphasizing the lack of substantiation for the larger damages sought.
The wig company has moved to depose the rapper as part of the ongoing proceedings. The case highlights the intersection of celebrity contracts and social media dynamics in legal disputes.
