Eyewitness footage captured the dramatic scene in the city of Hasakah, where the burning truck left a trail of fire along the roadway. According to Syria's state news agency SANA, the vehicle initially caught fire at a gas station.
In a desperate attempt to prevent a larger catastrophe, the driver reportedly tried to steer the blazing tanker toward a nearby fire station. The incident resulted in significant damage, with SANA reporting that seven people were injured.
