Influencer and TikTok star Nara Smith is set to make her acting debut in the upcoming film Tyrant, joining a star-studded cast that includes Charlize Theron, Julia Garner, and Demi Moore, according to Deadline.
The film, directed by David Weil, is described as a "high-stakes thriller in the vein of Wall Street and Whiplash" set within New York City's elite fine dining scene. Other cast members include Hudson Williams, Paapa Essiedu, and Omar Apollo. Details about Nara's character remain under wraps, but filming is expected to begin later this year.
This career move comes alongside other exciting developments in Nara's life. The 24-year-old, who shares four children—Rumble Honey, 5, Slim Easy, 4, Whimsy Lou, 2, and Fawnie Golden, 7 months—with husband Lucky Blue Smith, recently announced her debut cookbook, Homemade, set for release on Oct. 13.
In a recent TikTok, Nara opened up about working on the cookbook while postpartum with Fawnie, saying, "I feel like I really lost my spark and my vision for a certain amount of time. But then I kicked back into it and really just sat down and zoned in and really am proud of how this book turned out."
Nara's passion for cooking stemmed from health issues she faced after her second child, including an autoimmune disease and severe eczema. "The things I was eating in the grocery store weren't really helping my autoimmune, which led me into what I do now," she explained.
E! News has reached out to Nara's representative for comment on her acting role but has not yet received a response.
