Nearly 800 people in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo have been confirmed infected with Ebola, with approximately a quarter of those cases resulting in death.

Health workers face immense challenges in containing the spread of the deadly virus, but they are also witnessing recoveries that offer a glimmer of hope in the battle against the disease.
