Former 'American Pie' star Shannon Elizabeth has joined OnlyFans at age 52, revealing she wants to show "a more sexy side no one has seen" and connect directly with her audience. Elizabeth told People magazine she sees the platform as the future, allowing creators to work on their own terms.
Her move comes as several high-profile OnlyFans performers have disclosed remarkable earnings from the subscription-based platform. Controversial internet personality Lil Tay claimed she made over $1 million within hours of joining, while former 'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans reportedly earned more than $1.5 million over several years on the site.
"You're a millionaire," Evans' friend Tori Rhyne marveled during a recent livestream.
Adult entertainer Annie Knight told E! News last June that her monthly income on OnlyFans tripled to $600,000 after a viral stunt, though she cautioned that the platform is "super oversaturated" and requires significant effort to stand out.
"People aren't making as much money as they say that they are," Knight warned in a recent TikTok video. "I've seen women in the industry who I know aren't earning the amount they say they are."
Despite the challenges, some creators find the platform surprisingly lucrative. Professional tennis player Sachia Vickery, who joined in January 2025, called it "the easiest money" she'd ever made.
"I will never talk s--t about girls on OnlyFans ever again for the rest of my life," Vickery said in an Instagram Q&A. "The amount I made on there in my first two days, I am overwhelmed."
Other notable earnings claims include YouTuber Piper Rockelle's report of making $2.9 million on her first day, including $118,000 in tips. Meanwhile, Blac Chyna deactivated her account in 2023, explaining she was "changing everything" about herself and felt she was "worth way more than that," though she acknowledged the platform works for others.
The disclosures highlight how OnlyFans has evolved from a niche adult content platform to a mainstream income source for celebrities and influencers seeking direct fan connections and financial independence.
