Rather than functioning as a standalone app or chatbot, Skye is designing an "agentic home screen" using iOS widgets. These widgets provide ambient intelligence, delivering personalized insights about weather, context, health, and more. The app can draft email replies, assist with meeting preparation, send reminders, and flag suspicious bank transactions. Its creator, known as signüll on X, also claims the app can offer local recommendations.
Skye's pre-launch traction suggests that the market is hungry for AI that integrates seamlessly into the mobile experience without requiring users to open a separate app.
