US President Donald Trump has called off his envoys' planned trip to Pakistan for negotiations, stating that Iran failed to present an acceptable proposal for a peace deal. The cancellation came shortly after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi left Pakistan, where he had outlined a potential framework to end the conflict to mediators.
Tehran has firmly denied engaging in any direct talks with Washington, insisting that any communication would only occur through intermediaries. Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian conveyed to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif that his country will not negotiate under threats or a siege.
Araghchi is currently in Oman for discussions on regional issues, with Iranian media reporting he may return to Islamabad before traveling to Russia. Meanwhile, US Central Command confirmed that a Navy helicopter is escorting the M/V Sevan, a vessel linked to Iran's "shadow fleet," back to Iran.
On the regional front, Israeli forces launched additional strikes in southern Lebanon following Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's order for "forceful" attacks, accusing Hezbollah of undermining peace efforts.
