Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived in Russia for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, as negotiations with the United States remain deadlocked after eight weeks of war.
Araghchi stated that coordination with Russian officials was necessary, following disruptions caused by the US-Israeli military campaign against the Islamic Republic. Tehran has signaled a willingness to consider an interim agreement, under which it would reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for Washington lifting its blockade of Iranian ports.
The visit underscores Iran's efforts to shore up diplomatic backing amid ongoing hostilities.
