Iranian Foreign Minister Presents Peace Proposal to Pakistani PM in Islamabad

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Saturday, presenting Tehran's latest proposal aimed at reviving stalled direct negotiations with the United States.

The high-level visit comes amid escalating US-Israel tensions with Iran, as Pakistan steps in as a mediator. Araghchi, leading a delegation, outlined Iran's conditions for returning to the negotiating table during the meeting.

"We discussed ways to reduce tensions and resume dialogue," a Pakistani official stated after the talks. The official added that Pakistan remains committed to facilitating communication between Tehran and Washington.

The meeting underscores Pakistan's growing role as a diplomatic bridge in the Iran-US conflict, with both sides showing cautious interest in Pakistan's mediation efforts.
