While these AI agents aim to deliver life-saving guidance, independent validation of their safety and accuracy in high-stakes refugee contexts has not yet been conducted at scale. Failures could have severe consequences. However, for displaced individuals with no access to legal or support services, even imperfect AI assistance may offer vital information that would otherwise be entirely unavailable.
