Former One Tree Hill star James Lafferty and his wife, actress Alexandra Park, have announced the arrival of their first child, a baby boy named River Jay Lafferty.

This joyful milestone caps a relationship that began over a decade ago when the pair met on the set of Alexandra's E! series, The Royals. Their journey from co-stars to life partners saw them get engaged in 2020 and marry in a Hawaiian ceremony two years later.
In a recent interview, Alexandra reflected on their enduring bond, describing James as her best friend. "We work together," she said. "The fact that we get to do all of that, and spend all that time together, it just really gets better the more we do that. Every day is a surprise with James. We're just really lucky to have each other."
James echoed this sentiment, particularly regarding their professional collaboration on the Netflix series Everyone Is Doing Great. He highlighted how their real-life connection translates on screen.
"Honestly, it affords our show a level of authenticity that I think is so rare in any project because it's instant chemistry and there's a shorthand," James explained. "There's a nonverbal understanding between all of us within scenes—you can't cast that. I think it is really wonderful from a personal perspective, but I also think it's the greatest strength of the show."
