Jamie Vardy has left Italian club Cremonese following the expiration of his contract, as the former Leicester City and England striker looks to extend his career elsewhere.
The 39-year-old scored seven goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances for the Serie B side, but his efforts were not enough to prevent relegation. Vardy joined Cremonese on a one-year deal with an option for a second year had the club stayed up.
Despite his age, Vardy feels he still has plenty to offer and is eager to continue playing at a high level, potentially even in the Premier League. Dutch club Feyenoord is among those that have expressed interest in signing him this summer.
Vardy is a legend at Leicester City, where he scored 200 goals in 500 matches and famously helped the club win the Premier League title in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021. He also earned 26 caps for England, scoring seven goals, and represented the Three Lions at Euro 2016 and the 2018 World Cup.
