Beans are a nutritional powerhouse, packed with protein, complex carbs, fibre, and micronutrients. They're also a sustainable choice, requiring little fertiliser or water to grow. The Beans is How campaign aims to double global bean consumption by 2028, and it's easy to see why.
Jarred beans, though pricier than canned, offer a softer, creamier texture and a more delicate taste. Our test involved tasting each brand cold, straight from the jar, evaluating flavour, texture, shape, sourcing transparency, certifications, additives, and value.
