Jed Wallace is fighting to revive his defamation lawsuit against Blake Lively, filing an appeal after a Texas judge tossed the case last year.
Wallace and his crisis PR firm, Street Relations Inc., were accused by Lively in a 2024 civil rights complaint of running a smear campaign against her during the fallout from It Ends With Us. In response, Wallace sued Lively for defamation in Texas, but the court dismissed the suit for lack of personal jurisdiction.
Now, Wallace argues in his appeal that the Texas court does have jurisdiction because Lively took actions specifically targeting Texas. According to court documents filed Friday, Lively made allegations about Wallace's conduct in Texas, hired Texas-based lawyers, paid filing fees to a Texas court, and invoked a Texas court to investigate her claims. Wallace contends this is sufficient to establish jurisdiction over Lively.
The legal battle between Lively and Wallace is part of a wider war involving Lively, her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, and multiple PR firms. The case remains ongoing.
