Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jeremiah Trotter is riding high after seeing both of his sons drafted into the NFL. Speaking exclusively to TMZ Sports, the Hall of Famer said he's "still on Cloud 9" following the 2026 NFL Draft.
Josiah Trotter, a linebacker from West Virginia and Missouri, was selected in the second round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He joins his older brother, Jeremiah Trotter Jr., who already plays for the Eagles.
Trotter Sr. recalled knowing early on that his boys were destined for the league. "I'm so grateful to God for giving them athletic ability, body types, work ethic, and most importantly, character," he said. "Forget football—I'm proud of the young men they've become."
The proud father also reflected on his late wife, Tammi, who passed away from cancer in February 2023. He believes she would have been cheering right beside them. "She'd be sitting next to Josiah, just elated. She was the ultimate team mom."
Trotter added that he prayed for this moment since his sons were in the womb: "God, give them everything you gave me, just double it." Both boys, he insists, will surpass his own accomplishments. "I've been telling them since they were little they'd be better than me, and I believe that 1,000 percent."
Congratulations to the Trotter family—they're doing it right!
