Jessica Biel has offered fans a rare window into her family's life in Montana, sharing intimate details about their decision to raise children away from the Hollywood spotlight.
In a recent Instagram post, the 44-year-old actress posted photos of a moon ritual near her Montana home, wearing a cap with "MT" and a cozy robe as she basked in the fading sunlight. Alongside images of the moon, crystals, and candles, she captioned the post simply: "Moon’s doing its thing."
Biel and her husband, Justin Timberlake, moved to Montana over a decade ago with their two sons, Silas, 11, and Phineas, 5. The couple has intentionally chosen to raise their family away from the constant media attention of coastal cities.
"You get hammered on the East coast, you kinda get hammered on the West coast," Biel explained during a May 2024 podcast appearance. "That's why we don't really live there anymore."
The actress emphasized her desire to give her children a normal upbringing, stating: "I don't wanna expose them in a way until they have an ability to make that decision for themself."
Despite the geographical distance from entertainment industry hubs, Biel and Timberlake have developed a system to balance their careers with parenting. "We try to have one of us working full time, only one," she revealed in a May 2025 interview, explaining that they coordinate schedules so one parent is always with their children.
While embracing the peace of Montana living, Biel remains ambitious about her career. "I still have a lot of big goals," she told InStyle. "I still have a lot more that I'm curious if I'm capable of doing, that I think could be really interesting and also add a whole other layer to the work I've done in the past."
The family's Montana lifestyle appears to suit them well, with Biel previously describing the freedom from paparazzi as "freeing." The couple, who have been married for nearly 14 years, continue to navigate the challenges of maintaining Hollywood careers while prioritizing family privacy in their Big Sky Country home.
