Jolie Stands Firm as Pitt Pushes for Quicker Resolution in French Winery Legal Battle

Angelina Jolie appears unfazed by Brad Pitt's recent legal efforts to expedite their ongoing court battle over the $164 million French estate, Chateau Miraval, according to newly filed court documents.

In his latest submission, Pitt argued for moving the trial date up to April 2027, claiming he's been unable to enjoy the property and has been deprived of "the quiet enjoyment of his home in France." He also cited concerns about aging witnesses and potential scheduling conflicts with the Jewish High Holidays.

Jolie's legal team countered that a September 2027 trial date is reasonable and that Pitt has presented no evidence showing his time at Miraval has been disrupted by the litigation. She specifically challenged his holiday scheduling concerns, noting he didn't identify which of his ten attorneys would be affected.

"Angelina says a short extension of the trial date to September 2027 is more than reasonable," the documents state, "insisting that Brad has presented no evidence to prove his claims his time at Miraval has been interrupted or ruined by the litigation."

The dispute stems from Pitt's 2022 lawsuit alleging Jolie sold her stake in their joint winery venture to a third party without his approval. Pitt claimed the new owner was hostile to the business he'd spent years building, while Jolie maintained she didn't need his approval to sell her interest.

A judge has yet to rule on the scheduling disagreement, leaving the timeline for this high-profile celebrity legal battle unresolved.
